Tools Required
The following tools are required for the removal/replacement procedures
in this chapter:
•
#1 Phillips screwdriver
•
#2 Phillips screwdriver
•
TORX
®
15 (T15) hand screwdriver
•
1/4-inch open-end or box wrench
•
1/4-inch nut driver
•
5/16-inch nut driver
•
Needle-nose pliers
Do This First
Perform the following steps before beginning any of the removal and
replacement procedures:

If the Counter is on, press and release the POWER button on the front
panel, and then set the
Main ~ Power
switch on the rear panel to “0” (off).

Disconnect the AC power cord from the AC input socket on the rear panel.

If the Counter has the Battery Option (002) installed, remove the battery
sled, and disconnect any DC input cable from the EXT DC connector on
the rear panel.
CAUTION
While most of the hardware used in the Counter is SAE, the four TORX
screws that attach the handle mounts to the Counter are metric. To avoid
damage to the threaded holes in the chassis that handle mount screws fit in,
be sure to use the correct screws.
