Installing the Center Collar Dome Cap (Optional)
Before You Begin
Before installing the dome cap make sure the center collar plates are installed on the center collar.
What You Should Know
Field drilling holes on the cap plates may be required to install the dome cap assembly.
1. Install the dome cap collar weldment (A) to the center collar cap plates (O) with the flange bolts (B)
and flange nuts (C).
2. Caulk around the dome cap collar weldment (A) on the center collar cap plates (O).
3. Install the peak cap handle (E) to the peak cap (D) with the bolts (F) and nuts (G).
4. Insert the straight end of the slide rod (H) through the dome cap collar weldment (A) and peak cap
(D) and thread one nut (I) all the way down on the slide rod (H).
NOTE:
Do not tighten the nut.
5. Insert the other end of the slide rod (H) through the top of the peak cap (D) and install a washer (J)
and nut (I).
6. Follow the same procedure to install the other slide rod (H).
NOTE:
Adjust and tighten the nuts (I) on straight end of slide rods (H).
7. After tightening, it may be necessary to spread the slide rods (H) slightly to make them parallel.
Maintain a 10 in. gap between the slide rods (H).
8. Install the cap hold down (K) to the hold down bracket (L) with the bolts (M) and nuts (N).
