Understanding the Port Status LEDs
The switch includes LED indicators for each port to indicate link status and network activity. The port LEDs are
shown below and described in the following table.

Installing an SFP/SFP+/QSFP+ Transceiver
The switch provides slots for optional SFP, SFP+, and QSFP+ transceivers. The supported transceiver types are
listed below:
• 40 Gbps Ethernet QSFP+ transceivers
• 10 Gbps Ethernet SFP+ transceivers
• 1000 Mbps Ethernet SFP transceivers

10G SFP+ Ports

Off The link is down.
Green (solid) Port has a valid 1G or 10G link.
Green (flashing) There is activity on the port.
40G QSFP+ Ports
( 49 through 52 )
Off The link is down.
Green (solid) Port has a valid 40G link.
Green (flashing) There is activity on the port.
• SFP/SFP+/QSFP+ transceivers are hot-swappable. The switch does not need to be
powered off before installing or removing a transceiver.
• SFP/SFP+/QSFP+ transceivers are not provided in the switch package.
