Front Panel Features
10G SFP+ Slots
The switch contains 48 SFP+ (labeled 1 through 48 ) transceiver slots that support 10G Ethernet SFP+
transceivers or 1G Ethernet SFP transceivers. Status LEDs for each stacked pair are located between
the slots. For more information, refer to
Connecting to SFP/SFP+ Fiber Optic Ports on page 31 .
40G QSFP+ Slots
The switch contains four QSFP+ transceiver slots (labeled 49 through 52) that operate up to 40 Gbps
full duplex. For more information, refer to Connecting to QSFP+ Fiber Optic Ports on page 32 .
Console Port
The RJ-45 port labeled Console provides an out-of-band serial connection to a terminal or a PC
running terminal emulation software. The port can be used for performing switch monitoring and
configuration. For more information, refer to
Connecting to the Console Port on page 38 .
Management Port
The RJ-45 port labeled Management provides a dedicated 1000BASE-T management interface. For
more information, refer to Connecting to the Management Port on page 37 .
USB Port
A USB port is provided on the switch front panel. This port is for transferring configuration files from
a USB storage device to the switch’s flash memory. For more information, refer to
Connecting to the
USB Port on page 40 .
Reset Button
The reset button is located below the Management port. Pressing the reset button on the front panel
causes the switch to perform a hard reset. For more information, refer to Resetting the Switch on
page 40 .

Port LEDs
