Timing details
Table 7.2:
A short explanation of the timing parameters in this table: There is some time needed to apply a
shutter pulse to the CCD. The CCD will start integrating light (start of exposure) at a shutter action.
Integration will start td_it_bgn after the rising edge of the shutter pulse.
During the time needed to transfer the image from the photo-sensitive area to the storage area, the
CCD will continue to integrate during a short period of time being td_it_end. In other modes than
continuous mode there is an additional demand in timing.
T_dtm_gapmin is only applicable in double transfer mode and double delayed transfer mode.
T_dtm_gapmin lists the minimal time between 2 exposures.
Td_output is the figure for the delay between end of acquisition and start of output. The Vertical
Remap function determines the method of transmitting the pixels at the output. For an extensive
explanation of Vertical Remap refer to par 8.5. Enabling Vertical Remap influences the delay time to
the output. The delay is listed in table 7.3 for the various models.

Exposure and image output overlap
7.4
Since acquisition and image output are related but independent processes within the camera, it is
possible to integrate and output images the same time. Figure 7.1 show the sequence of processes
when in normal control mode.
