Section 6. Registration

6–3

Account Exists
Sub Y/N

This prompt is displayed if this is a repair/replacement,
or an error was made in programming the 7845CZ for an
existing account.

If this is a test registration, the opportunity to substitute
the radio is not offered.

If the installation is a known repair/replacement, you can skip the previous section by selecting
the [

] command to initiate the replacement registration process, beginning with the PIN entry.

Do You Have A
PIN #   Y/N

At this point, you should have called the AlarmNet
Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to obtain a 4-digit
alphanumeric PIN number.

Pressing [Y] continues the registration process. If you
pressed [Y], the next prompt is displayed.

Pressing [N] aborts the process.

Alarm Will Be
Sent, OK  Y/N

If you proceed beyond this point by answering YES
(pressing [Y]), you must supply a correct PIN number to
complete the registration. Any attempt at registration at
this point, whether successful or unsuccessful, results in
a radio substitution alarm transmission to the central
station.

Pressing [Y] allows you to continue registration.

Pressing [N] aborts the registration.

Enter PIN#

You must enter a 4-digit alphanumeric PIN number
obtained by an authorized person's phone call to the
AlarmNet TAC (Technical Assistance Center).

Enter the PIN, then press the [ENTER] key.

Registration
MSG1 Sent

Three messages are sent and the unit waits for
acknowledgement.

Registration
Waiting for ACK

Registration
Successful!

If the PIN is valid, the new 7845CZ is registered and the
old unit unregistered. Additionally, AlarmNet sends a
radio substitution alarm to the central station.

Registration
Canceled!

If at any point in the substitution process you choose not
to register the 7845CZ, this message is displayed.

Registration
Rejected!

If you entered an invalid PIN, this message is displayed.
The registration process is aborted, and must be started
from the beginning.

NOTE: Each attempt causes a radio substitution alarm
to be sent to the central station.
