7845CZ Installation and Setup Guide
5–6
Question 10.
Current Lim (Y/N)
Press [Y] if the Current Limited mode is to be used.
Answering yes limits the power draw of the radio to
100mA and makes the 7845CZ dependant on the backup
battery to function.
Press [N] if the Current Limited mode is not to be used.
Answering no to this question allows the 7845CZ to
transmit even if it has a bad battery, but the maximum
current draw increases to 350mA when the 7845CZ is
transmitting with a bad, missing, or low backup battery. If
the battery is good current draw is 100mA.
UL
Must be "N" for UL installations.
Question 11.
FLT REL ON
(Y/N)
Press [Y] if fail-safe mode is desired. In this mode, the fault
open collector output is normally energized to ground, and
de-energizes (open circuit) in the event of a radio fault.
UL
Must be "Y" for UL installations.
Question 12.
Trigger Type
(EOLR)
Use the [space] key to scroll through the methods by which
the 7845CZ will detect alarms on Z1 and Z2 inputs on TB1.
Available choices are:
•
(EOLR) End of Line Resistor: Zone input is supervised
by a 2K EOL resistor. In this configuration the zone
can be triggered by NO, NC contacts, or Open collector
ground or voltage trigger outputs.
•
(V+): For installations where the alarm condition is
indicated by a positive voltage trigger, but in the
normal condition ground leakage through the alarm
sounder would prevent the EOLR configuration from
functioning.
•
(V-): For installations where the alarm condition is
indicated by a ground trigger, but in the normal
condition positive voltage leakage through the alarm
sounder would prevent the EOLR configuration from
functioning.
Question 13.
Lynx Panic (Y/N)
Press [Y] to report a Panic alarm on Zone 3 when the radio
detects a single pulse on TB1 characteristic of a Panic on
the Lynx Control Panel. No restores are generated for a
Panic alarm.
Press [N] to ignore a single pulse.
Question 14.
Tamper Rpt (Y/N)
Press [Y] to send an alarm on zone 8 when the radio
detects a tamper. A restore of zone 8 is automatically
generated when the tamper condition clears.
Press [N] to disable tamper reports.
Zone Inversion Section (Questions 15-19)
Inversions on Zones 1 and 2 can be executed by setting the Trigger Type to V-.
NOTE: If the Lynx Panic feature is enabled, skip to Question 16
