Mounting Template
The SGM3000 Series meters support the three screw mounting arrangement that is typically
used in the IEC market. The meter mounting holes support screws with a thread diameter of up
to
6 mm. The SGM3000 Series meters provide a single screw mounting hole at the top of the
meter. The top mounting hole is not accessible when the meter is mounted. The meter provide
2 mounting holes in the lower part of the meter beneath the terminal cover, and the mounting
holes are only accessible when the terminal cover is removed. The lower mounting holes are
located inside the projection of the meter footprint.
The meters support multiple mounting hole locations defined via distance A and distance B,
termed as the suspension triangle, as illustrated below.

The SGM3000 Series single phase meters support multiple mounting templates.
6.6 Requirements and Installation Procedure
To install the SGM3000 Series meters, make sure that the following minimum installation steps
are performed:
1.
Perform specific Safety and Work Area Analysis.
2.
Take the last meter read on the existing meter and de-energize all live meter circuits.
3.
Remove the old meter for recycling.
4.
Assess wall or panel space available for the SGM3000 Series meter.
5.
Prepare all incoming wire cables for connection to the meter. Take care to specifically
identify neutral conductors and check integrity of conductors.
6.
Take the following steps to install the SGM3000 Series meter:
a)
Position and affix the meter to the space identified. It is recommended that you use
hard plastic screws to avoid the accidental exposure of a live screw head.
