installation of class weights. Identified in the Name: Plane # line as HF120 TRM WT
(this will be the name of the default class weight set as specified in paragraph 9.1.5.14
above). The left column, with a heading of “Posn”, shows the suggested position (or
preferred term selected in paragraph 9.1.5.2 above) for each class weight. To change
the position, use the [
] [
] keys to move from field to field. When the correct field
is highlighted, use the [
] [
] keys to change the value in that field. Entries in this
field will either be the Hole/Position/ Blade number or a <?> symbol. The question
mark indicates an undefined location. They are placeholders for locations which can
accept weight, but haven’t been used yet. In the example below, weight may be
placed in up to 11 locations. At this point, weight has only been placed in locations
number 1. The other 10 weight locations have not been used yet and are marked with
the <?> symbol. The center column, with a heading of “Suggest” is the Class Weight
suggested for that Position. The right column, with a heading of “Install”, is the entry
for the actual Class Weight installed in a particular Position. To change the Class
Weight installed for each Position, use the [
] and [
] keys to move from field to
field. When the correct field is highlighted, use the [
] and [
] keys to change the
value in that field. In this case, the term “NO WT” indicates that no weight will
occupy the other weight positions. If an actual weight or washer is identified as the
“null” weight (such as the “Bolt” or “P01”), that item will be suggested to occupy all
unused weight positions when no balance weight is suggested for the position. Near
the bottom of the screen, you will see the Total: “Soln =”, and the “Inst =”. The
“Soln =” field shows you the exact solution required to balance the plane. The
“Inst=” field shows you the total you indicated you have installed up to this point. If
you do not agree with the “Inst =”, review the screen again and change weights as
necessary. If you have installed the exact weights and locations suggested, you need
only press [OK] to continue. For a description of the function key menu items, see
paragraph 9.2.5.11 below.
