4 Product description
4.1 Setup and operation
The device is a portable welding tractor onto which up to two welding torches can be attached for semi-
automatic horizontal longitudinal welding on magnetic surfaces. The permanent magnet integrated into the
housing allows welding work to be carried out on all magnetic surfaces in the horizontal and vertical
position. The device consists of a housing, a drive system with control, a cross slide, several guide arms and
a welding torch mount. The device is uniformly driven by four wheels. The cross slide allows the precise
adjustment of the welding position in the vertical and horizontal position. Different locations on the
workpiece can be reached with the various guide arms. The limit switches stop the welding process and the
travel movement of the device upon contact.
For pendulum movement of the welding torch during welding, the device can be fitted with an oscillator
(accessory).
