Installation of A2 breaker:
Mount breaker on its plate, with the straps aligned with
busbars on the meter-module
Install the phase-barrier on the load-side.
The breaker is ready to receive load conductors.
Torque the conductors as per indication on the breaker itself.
Install the terminal cover once the conductors are installed.
Use the mounting screws included in the breaker package to
fasten the breaker to the plate. Do not torque mounting
screws completely.
Use the 5/16 diameter bolt, 5/16 spring-washer and 5/16 flat
washers, included in the breaker package to fas-ten the
breaker straps to the module busbars. Torque to 170 in-lbf.
Complete the fastening of the breaker to its mounting plate by
torquing the mounting screws to 10 in-lbf.

Torque to 10 in-lbf
The breaker is ready to receive load conductors.
Torque the conductors as per indication on the breaker itself.
Note: XT3 & XT4 tenant breakers listed as 2-Pole for 1-phase applications are 3-pole case
breakers suitable and UL approved for 1-phase applications with load lugs factory in-
stalled on the two outside poles.
Install the terminal cover once the conductors are installed.

Installation of XT3 Breakers:

breaker straps to the module. Torque to 71 in-lbs. Complete
fastening of the breaker to its mounting plate by torquing
mounting screws to 9 in-lbf
