Channel online diagnostics with Analyzer 7.4.2.
The Analyzer function is available in the channel diagnostics for most of the protocols.
The Analyzer function shows transmitted and received telegrams in hex format. In
addition, it can show control signal changes for serial communication protocols.
The Analyzer function requires a Telnet software to be installed on the SAB600 computer.
In Windows 7, Telnet is an optional Windows feature that needs to be activated. In 64-
bit Windows 7, the telnet.exe file needs to be copied from the System32 folder to the
SysWOW64 folder.
By default, the Analyzer function uses the Telnet port 50000. You can change the port
in the Online diagnostics dialog. By default, the port is not opened in the COM600 fire-
wall. To enable the Analyzer function, add a rule for the port to the COM600 firewall
configuration.
Data object diagnostics 7.4.3.
You can monitor and control the data objects under the Gateway object tree with Data
object diagnostics.
