• Check Report Control Block for Client Identity: This option imports IEDs
from the file in which the Report Control Blocks' client identity matches the
selected OPC Server.
• Check Configuration Revisions: By selecting this option, the configuration
revision attributes of the project are compared with the SCL file to be imported.
If differences are found, the IED configuration will be updated. If no differences
are found, the IED configuration will not be updated. This will improve the
performance of the import, as only the IEDs with changed configuration will
be imported.
Not every option in the SCL Import function is
available for all protocols.
8. Click Next to proceed to the Substation Options page or Import if you do not want
to change options in the following pages.
Additional SCL import options
In the following are presented the SCL Import options for the following pages: Substation
Options, Configure Alarm and Event Template, Configure Parameter Filtering Tool
Template, Configure SLD Template, Configure Summary Table Template. You can
choose the options you want or proceed to Import without changing the options.
Substation Options

On the Substation Options page, the following option can be selected:
Import substation information:This option imports the substation structure.
If you only want to import the communication section, do not select this option.

• For each IED, you can select which substation, voltage level, and bay is
imported. You can select them in a dropdown menu. You can edit the names
by double-clicking the object name (or pressing Enter or Ctrl + E when the
object is selected) in the tree view on the Substation page. Select the edited
name by pressing Enter or cancel the edit by pressing Esc.
