In the AMS Configuration Manager or Fault & Maintenance Manager a

can be carried out under

Reset communication server
. If the sales channel
is also to be modified, create a new communication server in the AMS Shell and
select a sales channel. Next
Set/change the sales channel
under
Tools
. This exe-
cutes a first start and the country-specific default values are loaded.

To perform a first-start or a sales channel change, either a user account
with the corresponding authorization profile is necessary (see
accounts and authorization profiles", page 153
) or the local, password-
"Password-free access", page 158
Preparing Configuration with AMS Offline
The complete configuration of a communication system can be created on the PC
without access to the communication server and stored in the database. The pre-
pared configuration can then be uploaded to the communication server file system
(see
"Upload (AMS -> communication server)", page 165
).
Configuration with AMS (online)
If a communication system that has already been configured is present, the config-
uration can be loaded from the configuration server in AMS and edited online (see
If the system to be configured is in the first-start state, the country-specific default
values are loaded.

Activating the licences
The licence information is stored on the EIM (Equipment Identification Module)
