Installation Script

After the network installation script has been completed, the UMS
installation script starts. The sample script shown next provides guidance
on how to answer the questions.
UMS Installation Script — Secondary UMS Server
Type of VCX 7300 Installation (S-Standalone/C-Client/V-Server)? [S]
Press the Enter or Return key to accept Standalone as the suggested
answer.
Number of voip ports? [144]
Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default number (144) of VOIP
ports that the system will support. Do
not enter a different value without
consulting 3Com.
IP address of the outbound proxy? [10.20.30.41]
In previous releases of the VCX software the Call Processor was referred
to as the Call Proxy or Outbound Proxy. Enter the IP address of the
secondary VCX Call Processor.
Name of the SIP DDD? [10.20.30.41]
The SIP Default Dialing Domain software runs on the same server as the
VCX Call Processor. Press the Enter or Return key to accept the IP address
of the secondary VCX Call Processor.
TCP/UDP Port on which the VCX 7300 will receive SIP messages [5060]
The VCX Call Processor and UMS both use the same port number but on
different IP addresses. Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default
port, 5060.
IP address of the primary proxy? (hit Enter if none) [ ] 10.20.30.41
Enter the IP address of the primary VCX Call Processor server
(10.20.30.41 in this example configuration that contains two server
pairs).
Intelligent Mirroring configurations
Should Intelligent Mirroring be enabled (Y/N)? [N]: y
All supported UMS configurations require Intelligent Mirroring. Enter y.
Name of the Remote Intelligent Mirrored system? [ ] vcxums01
Enter the name of the active UMS server (vcxums01 in this example).
Intelligent Mirroring Alias? [active]
Press the Enter or Return key to accept active as the suggested answer or
enter a name of your choice. Names must be 11 characters or less.
