20.8 The Host DoS Protection
You can specify a group of one or more “trusted computers” from which an
administrator may use a service to manage the Switch. When you turn on this
feature, only the trusted IP addresses listed in this screen can use remote
management to access the Switch. Click
Mgmt Config > Host Denial-of-
Service Protection to open the following screen.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Protection Use this to enable or disable host denial-of-service protection.
IP Address Configure the IP address of the trusted computer from which you
can manage this Switch.
The Switch checks if the client IP address of a computer
requesting a service or protocol matches the range set here. The
Switch immediately disconnects the session if it does not match.
Enable/Disable Select Enable to activate this secured client set.
Select Disable if you wish to temporarily disable the set without
deleting it.
Undo Click this to restore your last saved settings.
Apply Click this to save your changes.
