Chapter 7 Installing GPS Antenna Feeder System

7.6 Feeder Cabling

Steps

Prior to feeder cabling, you shall prepare the installation environment, security, staff,

and tools, and make the GPS feeder connector based on GPS feeder specification.

To install the GPS antenna, you shall first determine the position of GPS antenna, keep

the GPS antenna fixed, and tighten the sleeve onto the GPS antenna. Fix the GPS

antenna onto the pole, do the waterproof treatment, and check if the installation meets

the lightning protection requirements.

Feeder cabling means that the outdoor feeder connector passes through the GPS

sleeve, the feeder cable from GPS antenna to GPS lightning protector at cabinet top is

routed, one end of outdoor feeder connector is fixed onto the GPS antenna connector,

one end of indoor connector is connected onto GPS lightning protector, and it connects

BSC cabinet top through the GPS lightning protector.

The position of GPS feeder grounding means that GPS feeder connects outdoor

grounding busbar within 1 m in front of the feeder window by using feeder grounding

clip.
