REMOVING/REPLACING THE BATTERY

DIAGRAM 28

REPLACING THE CONNECTORS

Notches in
rear panel

9. Remove the battery connectors

by lifting the battery slightly from
the case bracket to gain access.
Gently, slide both connectors off
the terminals of the old battery.
Pull on the connectors, not on
the wires.

IMPORTANT: Do not force
the removal. Gently wiggle
the connector side to side
while pulling on it.

10. Lift the “old” battery out of the

machine and set it aside. See
Diagram 27. Place the new battery
in the case with its terminal end
near the fan and the battery
terminals facing toward the barrel.

11. Lift the battery slightly to gain

access to the battery wires.
Reconnect the wires to the battery
terminals. Connect the red wire to
the + terminal. Connect the black
wire to the - terminal. After
connecting the wires, lower the
battery into position in the case.

NOTE:

 The battery is marked

with + and - on the top of the
battery. It is essential that the wire
connections are replaced correctly.
Otherwise the machine will not
operate properly.

IMPORTANT: Check that the rear
panel is properly positioned prior to
replacing the case. Do not tighten the
screws until the rear plate is secure.
The two notches in the rear panel
align it properly. See Diagram 29.
