Turn the
Dial
to select Customer settings, then press the
Confirm
button. Press the
Confirm
button again to save the current parameter configuration for the Custom start initial settings.
The current parameter settings will present the next time the aspirator is started.
LCD Contrast
The LCD Contrast choice allows the user to adjust the contrast of the aspirator display screen to
optimize visibility in the current lighting environment. Given the use environment, the device
automatically compensates for the temperature changes that can effect LCD performance. However, in
temperatures outside its performance specification, -26 to 49 °C (-14 to 120 °F), or when the device
temperature is rapidly changing (warm storage into a very cold environment) the contrast can fad making
viewing difficult. The initial contrast value is 0 and rangers from -42 to 42 °C (-43 to 108 °F).
To adjust the LCD screen contrast, follow these steps:
1. Press the
Main
Menu
button to display the menu.
2.
Turn the
Dial
to highlight
LCD Contrast
, and then press the
Confirm
button.
3.
Turn the
Dial
while watching the LCD to determine the best contrast value based on visibility
and press
Confirm
to confirm the new contrast value. Turning the
Dial
clockwise decreases
the contrast while turning the
Dial
counterclockwise increases the contrast.
4.
Press the
Main
Menu
button to leave the menu and have the aspirator enter
Pause
.
Note:
The contrast value is saved between uses. This may require that the contrast value be
readjusted when the temperature is within the device operating range or with the next
use.
Note:
In the event the LCD is not viewable due to extreme temperature conditions there is a
short cut to the contrast control. Press and hold the
Main
Menu
button for 2 to 3
seconds. Doing this, jumps the menu highlight directly to the contrast control where
the contrast can be adjust as described above.
LCD Brightness
The LCD Brightness control allows the user to adjust the brightness of the LCD display screen
to optimize visibility in the current lighting environment.
The initial numerical value is 25. The brightness ranges from 0 to 31.
To adjust the LCD screen brightness, follow these steps:
1. Press the
Main
Menu
button to display the menu.
2.
Turn the
Dial
to highlight
LCD Brightness
, and then press the
Confirm
button.
3.
Turn the
Dial
while watching the LCD to determine the best brightness value based on visibility and
press
Confirm
to confirm the new brightness value. Turning the
Dial
clockwise increases the
brightness while turning the
Dial
counterclockwise decreases the brightness.)
4.

button to leave the menu and have the aspirator enter

UTC Offset
The UTC Offset control allows the user to offset the aspirator clock to match the local time
zone relative to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) when logging alarms.
Currently, the device does not use this feature.
