4 OPERATION
4.1 Start-up
WARNING:
Before putting the ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C into operation, make sure to remove all parts and tools
placed on the unit and carry out a final check of the correct connection of the unit, paying special
attention to the polarity of the direct current line (use a voltmeter on the terminals in order to
check this). Check that the ventilation grills are not obstructed.
The start-up procedure for ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C systems is linked to the guarantee provided by ZIGOR to the
equipment. Consult ZIGOR for warranty conditions when the start-up procedure is carried out by technical services
department of ZIGOR. Any attempt to operate the ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C units of ZIGOR will be considered a
start-up operation.
4.1.1 Check the system status
Check the status of the following elements in the system:
•
Dents in the structure.
•
Correct location, levelling, distance between it and other equipment.
•
Ventilation of the room where the inverter is installed.
•
Means to secure the unit to the floor.
•
Rusting of metal parts.
•
Documentation.
•
Fastening of cards, internal wiring, fuses, tightening.
•
External protections, AC distribution boxes, battery protection (if fitted).
•
ZIGOR SOLAR SB16 Boxes (if fitted)
This check must be made before taking any other action
4.1.2 Connection and installation
Steps to be taken for connecting ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C power supplies:
•
Check the no load photovoltaic input voltage value and make sure that this does not exceed the maximum
system value. Leave any external protections open.
•
Check the mains voltage values of the unit/grid input and ensure that both its voltage and frequency values are
correct for the system. If the values are not correct, the equipment may be damaged. Leave any external
protections open.
•
Check the value of the battery input voltage and check that its value is appropriate for the system. Leave any
external protections open.
•
Check that there are is no voltage in the connecting cables with the ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C.
•
Connect the DC input cables, battery, Unit/Grid and AC output of the ZIGOR SOLAR HIT3C inverter-
charger.
•
Check the connections, tightening torques, adequate cabling and terminals.
•
The ground connection must be made with the adequate cable, which must be of sufficient section for the
power of the system.
All electrical connections are accessible from the lower front part of the unit
4.1.3 Start-up
Follow these steps to start up the unit
•
Check that the cables are connected correctly.
•
Check the door lock.
•
If there is a battery disconnector outside the system, close this.
