5.

Electrical Connection of the Unit

The electrical motor (for the pump) is operated with 400 volt alternating current. The
coil voltage of the contactors is 230 Volt.

The electrical connection must be performed in accordance to the local regulations of the
Electricity Board, respectively the VDE (German electrical Engineering Association).
It is necessary to take care that the electrical specifications depicted on the rating plate accord
to the supply voltage at the site. For safety reasons, the pump may only be connected to an
earthed socket. It is recommended to use a residual current circuit-breaker with a nominal
triggering current of <30 mA

.

Important!

When performing the electrical connection, care must be taken that the rotary direction of the
pump is in accordance with the arrow marking on the unit. The correct rotational direction is
visible at the ventilator casing on the fan wheel of the motor.
The rotational direction is in right direction, respectively clockwise.

The unit disposes of a 400 V coupling for the connection of a screw conveyor.

Attention!

If the button

is actuated, the coupling is live, however only as soon as the circuit has

been closed by actuating the switch

.

Important!
Please take care only to use 5-core supply cables. Should the neutral conductor be
missing, the unit will not start up.

Connection of the Acid Vessel

The suction line which consists of a suction hose with a suction strainer, after the removal of
the vessel closure, is inserted into the vessel until the strainer has reached and resides on the
base of the vessel.
