J1 (DMA Port)
J1 is a latching 10-pin (dual 5-pin) male transition connector with 0.1 inch lead spacing.
J1 provides Direct Memory Access (DMA) support for external peripherals via channel 0
or 3 on the local 8237A DMA controller. Jumpers W1 and W2 control configuration of
this connector. Refer to the
W1-2
description in Appendix A, "Jumper Configurations,"
for further details. Pin assignments are given in the following "

table. The floppy disk controller can use this connector to request service from the DMA
controller on the ZT 8954. The mating connector is a T&B Ansley #622-1030. This
connector is not normally loaded on the ZT 8954, as it resides under the integrated
floppy drive.
