PTT NO
Push-To-Talk relay Normally Open. This relay contact will take 150 VDC
at 500 mA max. PTT closes before paging begins and remains closed
until paging is completed.

REQUEST 2
Request to Transmit secondary output. This output is active whenever
the Model 16 is attempting to access the transmitter. This output is
TTL compatible (< 0.5 low, s> 2.4 V high) and the polarity is the same
as that programmed for the "REQUEST" output.
Computer (Serial I/O) - J1
Connector type - AMP-207084 or equiv. 9-pin "Subminiature-D" - female

Pin Signal
1
DATA TERMINAL READY (DTR)
This pin is tied to +5 VDC It may be connected to the Data Set Ready
(DSR) input of the CRT or personal computer, if it is required.
2
No Connection
3
TRANSMITTED DATA (TXD)
This pin provides RS-232C data FROM the Model 16. It swings from
minimum -5V (mark) to +5V (space) into 3000 ohms.
4
RECEIVED DATA (RXD)
This pin receives RS-232 data TO the Model 16. It should swing from
-5V (mark) to +5V (space) through no less than a З.ЗК-ohm resistor. It
may swing through ± 25V max.
5
GROUND
Electrically this pin is common to all grounds at connectors J1 and J2
and is physically connected to the metal chassis.
7
REQUEST TO SEND (RTS)
This pin provides an RS-232C level signal from the Model 16 whenever
it is ready to send serial data. It may be connected to the Clear
to Send (CTS) of the CRT or personal computer, if it is required.
8
CLEAR TO SEND (CTS) (future use)
