ZS COMP INSTALLATION MANUAL FOR COMPOSITION SHINGLE ROOFS - U.S.

First Module Row, Continued

Align Interlocks with module corners using timing marks. 
Attach Interlocks to connect the back corners of the modules, 
using the Zep Tool.

Rotate the Zep Tool from Position 1 to Posi-
tion 3. 

Do not over-turn. 

Over-turning 

may prevent next row of modules from 
seating properly.

If the Interlock Zeps are showing, the 

Interlock is positioned too far to one side.

Attach Interlocks to Rear Edge of Modules

Interlock Part Number 850-1388

Interlock 850-1388, shown above, has two 
timing marks that allow for off-center 
placement anywhere between the marks 
indicated, or 1.5” in either direction.

If a nearby Leveling Foot is too 
close to the Interlock, refer to
