Setting the calorie counter 

The calorie counter shows the 
number of calories burnt during 
exercise, using heart rate 
intensity. You need to enter 

· 

your Ambient Heart Rate 
(AHR) value - this is your 
typical heart rate at rest 
before starting exercise 

· 

your weight 

· 

your age 

Note: You can also use the 
Quick Set feature in the main 
calorie screen to set AHR (see 
Operating the Calorie Counter).

ambient heart rate. 

Note: Once set, calorie 
expenditure will be calculated 

from 5 beats per minute above 
this figure.
