Wireless foot control panel checklist
• Always check the function of the foot control panel before surgery
(without patient!) using the following checklist:
Prerequisites

The foot control panel is in the working position.

The FCP upgrade kit (optional) is plugged in.

The batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.

The stand is switched on.

The foot control panel is paired with the stand, optionally with the FCP
upgrade kit.

The display of the indicator on the foot control panel and the number of
the stand match.

The freely configurable buttons are configured.
• Push a button to activate the foot control panel.
• Check all functions of the foot control panel.

Stand and surgical microscope must react properly when controlled via
the foot control panel.
CAUTION Failure of functions!
For safety reasons, do not use this foot control panel if a function fails.
• Remedy the cause of the failure (see "What to do in the event of
malfunctions") or contact our service department.
CAUTION Unintentional operation of the foot control panel!
A height-adjustable OP table may operate buttons on the foot control panel
unintentionally.
• During set-up and use, ensure that buttons cannot be operated
unintentionally.
NOTE! Replacing foot control panels
If you replace one foot control panel with another one which is not paired
with the stand, the system will not function.
• To pair the foot control panel and stand, see page 40.
NOTE! Use of drapes
The use of the foot control panel with a drape reduces friction on the floor
and thus limits slip resistance.
