STREAMING RTMP IN THREE DIFFERENT RESOLUTIONS
This section shows how to use the SBE264-DVR-23 to stream one video input over RTMP into three different
resolutions (720p, D1, and CIF). Z3 has used the Wowza Streaming Engine
TM
as an example server for RTMP
streaming.
These instructions can also be used to determine how to stream the same input into multiple configurations.
Simply specify “RTP”, “UDP”, or “TSFILE” instead of “RTMP”, and ignore the sections referring to Wowza in
this section. Note that, when creating multiple channels off the same input, the total performance cannot
exceed the capability of the SBE264-DVR-23 (for example, three 1080p30 encodes at 30fps would not be
allowed).

VLC does not support RTMP. The test player within Wowza Streaming Engine
TM
is recommended.
6.1
Connect the Encoder
(1)
Follow steps in Section 5 to connect the SBE264-DVR-23 for encode and bring up the user interface.
6.2
Configure the Encoder for “Encode 1 to 3” Mode

At the “Operating Mode” menu near the bottom of the screen, select “Encode 1 to 3 Ch”.

Create a second and third channel by clicking on the “+” to the right of the CH1 tab.
6.3
Configure CH1 for RTMP Streaming
(1)
Click on the “CH1” tab.
(2)
Set encode to 720p, 4Mbps, input HDMI.
(3)
Set Output Format to “RTMP.”
(4)
For “Dest Address”, type “192.168.0.4:1935/live/720”, where “192.168.0.4” is the IP address of the
PC with the Wowza server.
