Running DHCP
DHCP is also supported. When enabled, the single board encoder dynamically receives an IP address to
use at startup. To see how DHCP support works, you can do the following steps:
The first thing you need to do is set up a custom configuration and save this so that the DHCP setting
is used the next time the system boots up. To do this, click on the “User Presets” tab and click on
“new”:
This brings up a new text box to enter the preset name. Type “z3_test” and click “ok”:
Return to the System Setup tab. Go to the bottom of the screen and select the “z3_test” preset that
you just created. The system might take a few moments to reload values.
