INSTALLING THE C.D.I. MAGNETO

1. Install:

C.D.I. magneto rotor

NOTE:

Clean the tapered portion of the crankshaft
and the magneto rotor hub.

When installing the magneto rotor, make
sure the woodruff key is properly seated in
the keyway of the crankshaft.

2. Tighten:

nut

70 Nm (7.0 m • kg, 50.6 ft • lb)

NOTE:

While holding the C.D.I. magneto with the
holding tool

, tighten the C.D.I. magneto

rotor nut

Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the
projection on the C.D.I. magneto rotor.
