Remove the starboard clamp bracket

in the direction of the arrow shown in the
illustration.

Remove the washer

Remove the swivel bracket

Checking the shock absorber

Check the shock absorber. Replace the
shock absorber if damaged or corroded.

Disassembling the swivel bracket
(EHD, ED)

Remove the spring

Remove the pins

Remove the distance collar

and lever

Remove the bushings

Checking the swivel bracket

Check the swivel bracket. Replace the
swivel bracket if cracked or damaged.

Check the distance collar. Replace the
distance collar if cracked or worn.

length. Adjust the distance collar assem-
bled length if out of specification.
