Crankcase

11. Install the new gasket

, exhaust inner

cover

, new gasket

, exhaust outer

cover

, and then tighten the exhaust

cover bolts

to the specified torques in

the sequence as shown.

Tighten the crankcase bolts and nuts to
the specified torques in 2 stages and in
the sequence as shown.

Slowly turn the crankshaft. If it does not
turn smoothly, remove the connecting rod
and replace any parts as necessary.

NOTE:

To remove the connecting rod, refer to page
5-24.

10. Connect the breather hoses.
