3.3.1 B a s e I/O Address Selection
Each port on the board can be assigned a base address at any eight-byte boundary in the PC I/O
address space. T h e address you select, however, must be unique (not the same as that of any other I/O
port). F o r convenient reference, Table 3-4 lists some commonly used I/O port address assignments.

Selecting the SSP I/O base address is a two step process. First, choose the appropriate jumper groups
via Table 3-5. Second, use Table 3-6 to configure the I/O port address.
