2.2.1 Component Installation
If necessary, plug an appropriate remote boot
ROM
into the socket at location U9, (location is shown
in Figure 2-1).

2.2.2 J u m p e r Settings
This section describes how to set the jumpers on the Ethernet board. The board contains two jumper
groups, W I and W2. Jumper W1 sets the I/O and boot
ROM
addresses, and jumper W2 sets the
interrupt request (IRQ).
2.2.2.1 I / O Address and ROM Address Selection (WI)
The Ethernet port and boot
ROM
address are selected with Jumper W I , as shown in Table 2-2, on the
following page. T h e I/O port and
ROM
address that you select must be unique within your system (not
the same as that of any other I/O port of another device).
The I/O port requires a block of 32 consecutive addresses. The remote boot ROM, i f enabled,
occupies an 8 Kbyte memory address space.
