POLLING

3. Press the Start

button to confirm SEND. The display prompts you to

enter a 4-digit poll code.

Note: If there is a document in memory to be polled, a "FUNCTION FULL
SETTING" is displayed.

Note: The poll code is preset to 0000 at the factory. This setting represents
no poll code required for the remote.

4. If you want to use a poll code, enter a 4-digit code (except 0000).

5. Press the Start

button.

If you do not want to secure the transmission with a Poll code, press the
Start

button when the display shows 0000. If you previously entered a

poll code, and do not want one, you may enter 0000 and then press the
Start

button.

The machine stores the document in memory. The display shows a count
of the number of pages being stored in memory and the remaining
memory capacity.

6. The machine returns to Standby mode and displays a reminder that a

Polling Transmission (POLL TX) is set. The machine automatically
switches to FAX mode (automatic receiving) when configured to be
polled.
