After you start the EX/i Print Server the first time, or install system software, you must set up
the EX/i Print Server. If you do not, default settings are used. Make sure that the settings you
choose are appropriate for your printing environment. If your network or printing
environment changes, you may need to adjust your settings.
Set up from the printer touch panel
Perform initial Setup from the printer touch panel. After initial Setup, you can change options
from a client computer.
Set up from a client computer
After you perform initial Setup from the printer touch panel, you can change most options
from a network computer using Configure (see
).
If you are setting up the EX/i Print Server for the first time, you can use the Fiery Setup
Wizard to configure language, regional, server, and print environment settings. For more
information, see
.
Access Setup
Use the Setup feature on the printer touch panel to perform initial setup. You can also access
menus or tabs that are specific to the EX/i Print Server from the printer touch panel (see
). When you set up the EX/i Print Server, make sure that it is not printing or
processing files.

1 On the printer touch panel, press Services Home.
2 Press the Fiery icon.
3 Make sure that the EX/i Print Server is Idle.
4 Press the Tools tab.
5 Press Setup.
6 Log on with Administrator privileges.
