3 Do one of the following:
• Click the Windows Start button and select Shut Down.
• Click the Windows Start button, click the arrow next to Shut Down, and select Restart.
• Right-click FieryBar and, in the shortcut menu, select Restart Fiery. Click OK.

1 Make sure that the EX/i Print Server is not receiving, processing, or printing any files.
If the system has just finished processing, wait at least five seconds after the system reaches
Idle before you proceed.
2 On the printer touch panel, press the Services Home button.
3 Press the Fiery icon, press the Info tab, and then press the Server tab.
4 Press Restart Server.
5 If prompted, log on as Administrator.
The default password is
Fiery.1
(case-sensitive.)
6 Select one of the following:
• Reboot Server
Completely restarts the EX/i Print Server, both the EX/i Print Server system software and
the Windows operating system software on the EX/i Print Server.
• Restart Server
Restarts the EX/i Print Server system software, but not the Windows operating system
software on the EX/i Print Server.
• Shut Down System
Completely shuts down the EX/i Print Server.
System Updates
With System Updates, you can schedule updates to EX/i Print Server system and user
software. While updates install, you cannot use the EX/i Print Server. It may need to reboot
several times. Schedule updates based on when the EX/i Print Server is not in use.
If the EX/i Print Server is behind a firewall and Internet access is restricted, the site
administrator can configure a proxy server at the customer site to allow the EX/i Print Server
to receive system updates (see
).
