Transfer

This step transfers the toner image from the drum surface to paper  Figure 7.

The BTR (Bias Transfer Roll) applies a positive charge to the back side of the paper when
the paper travels between the BTR and the drum. The negatively charged toner image
transfers from the drum surface to the front side of the paper because it is attracted by the
positive charge on the back side of the paper.

The positively charged paper sticks to the drum surface because it is attracted by the neg-
ative charge on the drum surface.
