3.9.2

Printing PDF Files without Using the
ContentsBridge Utility

You can send the PDF file to the printer directly, using the lpr command instead
of the ContentsBridge Utility. In this case, doing the settings on the control panel
are preferred for the following items.

“5.2.1 Print Language Setting” (P.127)

●

[Print Mode] is displayed when the printer has PostScript Software Kit (option) installed.

●

[Layout] is displayed when [PDF Bridge] is selected in [Print Mode].

●

When printing with the lpr command, the number of copies is specified by the lpr command.
[Copies] set on the control panel is invalid. If you do not specify the number of copies by the lpr
command, it is set to one by default.

lpr When printing PDF files with the lpr command, you need to enable LPD
protocol at the printer from the control panel or CentreWare Internet Services.
