General system messages
These messages may appear at the Printer Controller. The
messages occur during general system operations, management of
print jobs, and system activities that support the Xerox DocuPrint
NPS system.
Message Explanation/action
Diagnostic Job #<number> start,
Service, <document name>,
<timestamp> A diagnostic job has been initiated from the service mode.
No action required.
***Error: Cancel, decomposition
failed A document has been cancelled due to a decomposition
error.
No action required.
***Error: PostScript Job Aborted PostScript Job was aborted.
Check the output to make sure there is no data loss.
***Error: SunRPCBinding.Error
[requested service not available] The Job Pool Manager database may have been
corrupted. The Job Pool Manager automatically recovers
by replacing the corrupted database with a new one. If it
cannot successfully recover, you can recover it through
the Wizard Mode. See “Using Wizard Mode” for the steps
to recover the Job Pool Manager database.
Failed to cancel document
<number>which is being processed An attempt to cancel a specific document failed. This
document was being processed at the time of the “Cancel
Document” entry and is ineligible for cancellation.
Fast reset requested. Restarting... The sequencer has been restarted.
Restarting Sequencer No action required.
fd0:read failed (4010)
fd0:bad format You tried to read from a disk that is not the same density
as a previously read disk.
No action required: Unless the disk is damaged, the
system automatically determines the correct format of the
disk and performs the action you requested.
iobus level 13 interrupt not
serviced........ You rebooted the Printer Controller while doing something
at the printer, such as pressing a button or opening a door.
Power off the Printer Controller and power it on again. To
avoid this error, always use the Halt System and Restart
System commands.
Log file is empty. There are no messages in the specified log file.
No action required.
None of the specified documents
can be cancelled. None of the specified jobs are eligible for cancellation.
***NVMRead Failed Command
Terminated There is a non-volatile memory (NVM) failure.
Contact your service representative for assistance.
PCL error: ABORTING A PAGE The printer aborted a page.
Check the output to make sure there is no data loss.
