POSTSCRIPT EMULATION
Note: To enable the Error Handler menu item option, you
should go into PostScript submenu from the UI to the Error
Handler selection. The default is OFF. You can select ON; the
feature is not enabled until power is recycled or you can exit
current emulation to another emulation and re-enter PostScript
emulation.
Changing the PostScript configuration at the Main Menu
The PostScript sub-menus list the configuration options. The
configuration sub-menu is selected through the Main Menu and
then set up individually to conform to your printing needs.
This section shows which buttons on the control panel are used
for accessing the Main Menu, advancing to display the PostScript
emulation, and if applicable, selecting emulation configuration
options.
If necessary, refer to “Control panel,” in chapter 2, “4213
Overview,” for a diagram showing the location of the control
panel buttons.
Accessing the Main Menu and selecting PostScript
Select the PostScript option from the Emulation Menu, and make
any emulation configuration changes required.
Saving the POSTSCRIPT emulation configuration
When you have made your selections, use the following buttons
to save them as the emulation configuration defaults:
H 1. Press the Online button to take the printer off line. (The
green online indicator light is not lit.)
G 2. Press the Reset button to access the Reset Menu. The
display reads:
RESET MENU
EMULATION RESET
C 3. Press the Last Page button until the display reads:
RESET MENU
