FITTING & REMOVING PADDLES
Always unplug the machine
from the mains before fitting
a paddle.
■
The paddle holder (4) has an M14 internal
thread. Use an adapter to fi t paddles that do
not have an M14 external thread.
■
Always use a paddle that is suitable for the
material to be mixed/stirred. Using an
unsuitable paddle can unnecessarily
overload both the machine and yourself.
1. Screw the paddle clockwise into the holder.
2. Hand-tight is sufficient. Once you start using
the power mixer, the paddle will tighten itself
firmly in the holder.
3. To remove the paddle, unscrew it from the
holder in an anticlockwise direction. The
paddle can become rather tight in the holder.
In that case, use a spanner to keep the
holder from turning.
USE (FOR MIXING)
Mixing instructions are
usually given on the
packaging of the material to
be mixed. Read these
thoroughly.

When starting the power mixer, hold it firmly by
both handgrips. The machine can be subject to
powerful forces when stirring heavier substances
and mixtures.
1. Plug the machine into the mains power.
2. Set the speed adjustment wheel (3) to the
slowest setting. This way you can prevent the
material from splashing when you start the machine.
3. Insert the paddle into the material or mixture.
4. Start the machine by pressing and holding
the release button (2) followed by the ON/OFF
switch (1).
5. Increase the speed to the desired setting,
and stir the material or mixture until you are
satisfi ed with the result.
6. Stop the machine by releasing the ON/OFF
switch (1).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention! Before
performing any work on
the equipment, pull the
power plug.
Service
§ Only qualified specialist personnel and original
replacement parts should be used for repairs. This
will ensure that your device remains safe.
Cleaning
Liquids must not be allowed to get into the
inside of the appliance. Use a soft doth to clean
the casing. Never use gasoline, solvents or cleaning
agents that are aggressive on plastics.
Wherever possible, always clean the mixing
tools immediately after finishing work.
Clean the air vents on the motor housing from
time to time.
CAUTION! To maintain the
protective insulation, a safety
inspection must
subsequently be carried out
on the machine. For this
reason, such work
must only be performed by
an electrical workshop.
Lubrication
The machine requires no additional lubrication.
Checking and replacing the carbon brushes
The carbon brushes must be checked on a regular
basis.
After approx. 100 working hours, the carbon
brushes control and, if necessary, replace and clean
the crankcase.
After approx. 200 working hours, renew the
crankcase lubrication.
_
Remove the carbon brush holders and clean the
carbon brushes.
_
In case of wear, replace both carbon brushes at
the same time.
_
Mount the carbon brush holders.
_
After mounting new carbon brushes, let
the machine run at no load for 15 minutes.
Use only the correct type of
carbon brushes.
