MPEG Analyzer - Configure MPEG Input 

To ready the iAM-VIDEO for MPEG monitoring, first the input must be configured. 
As shown in Figure 4-7, under the MPEG Analyzer heading, click Configure MPEG 
Input.

Three settings must be configured: 

1.

 

Video Input Type

: This pull down menu lets you select the physical 

connection that contains the MPEG signal to be monitored. 

2.

 

MultiCast Address

: Enter the MultiCast Address for use when VoIP is 

selected as the input. This is not applicable for an ASI input. Also, if VoIP is 
selected, there will be an additional option of enabling Source Specific 
Multicast (SSM). If you enable SSM, a text box will then appear allowing you 
to enter the IP address for the SSM. 

3.

 

Port Number

: Enter the Port Number for the MPEG signal to be monitored. 

Click the 

Apply Configuration

 button after making the three settings above. 

Click on the 

MPEG Analyzer - MPEG Program

 to view the content of the MPEG 

stream selected. Refer to the next section in this manual.
