Analog - L/R, L/R Deemph, and MPX output style choices
The option allows the X1 to modify its input and output gain settings whenever presets
are recalled. Input and output gain settings are always stored with the presets when pro-
cessing values are stored, but those settings will be ignored upon preset recall when the
“System Settings Change with Preset Takes” checkbox is unchecked.
To adjust, tap the control. You will see a green ring indicating the control is active and
ready to be changed. Use the front panel knob to select the option you want (None, Input,
Output, Both I/O). Once the correct mode has been selected, push the knob in to confirm.
Network
Tapping the blue NETWORK button brings up this window:
This page allows you to assign the IP address for the front panel and the hardware. Be-
cause of how the system works (and because the front panel is essentially a GUI interface
that connects to the hardware), your X1 requires two IP addresses to live on your network
and function properly. Failure to properly assign an IP address will result in the inability
to connect via the front panel or Windows based GUI to adjust sound. It will also inter-
rupt WheatNet-IP audio I/O. If you are using analog or AES input and output signals, the
processor will still function even with incorrect IP addresses.
There are five assignment knobs and a button to apply changes made to the address.
The first knob selects which parameter is to be changed. The options are FRONT
PANEL ADDRESS (FP ADDR), HARDWARE ADDRESS (HW ADDR), SUBNET and
GATEWAY. Tapping on the first button and using the knob to scroll thru the options allows
you to access the various network settings.
Once you find the parameter you want to set, push the knob in. Now, tap on the 2nd
knob. This will highlight the first of the four dot decimal numbers. Using the front panel
knob, you can increase or decrease the value. When the desired value is found, press the
knob in to confirm. Repeat these steps for the next three numbers and for changing other
parameters.
