and checked for excess wear before replacing. It is possible to split the turbulators for cleaning
by removing the R pin.
4.2.3 Emptying the hopper
Should the wood pellets within the hopper become damp or if excessive amounts of pellet dust
should accumulate in the hopper it may be necessary to empty the hopper and refill it with fresh
pellets.
First, isolate the appliance from the mains electrical supply, then remove the hopper safety
guard by unfastening the seven screws shown in Figure 33 below. This will allow access to
remove damp pellets or dust from the hopper.
The end cap of the auger can be removed
to allow pellet dust or remaining pellets to
be emptied from beneath the hopper.
The auger cap is accessed by removing
either side panel and is held in place by
four bolts with lock nuts as shown in Figure
34.
Once the lock nuts are removed the auger
cap can be withdrawn downwards.
Care should be taken when replacing the
cap that the spigot is centralised in the
auger coil.
