However, with the multi-function controller (7) you can increase or decrease the
arc voltage without changing the welding current value. The value of the preset
synergic line is relative to 0, and the voltage can be increased or decreased from
the preset value of 5 V. The arc lengthens when the voltage increases and
shortens when the voltage decreases.
The welding current suitable for the welding work depends on a number of
factors such as the material to be welded, the diameter of welding wire, the
shielding gas used, the joint type and the welding position.
As a “rule of
thumb”, it can be considered that the approximate value of the welding
current is about 40 A / mm of the base material thickness.
MMA welding
Select MMA from the front panel selector button. Attach
welding electrode to the holder. Attached the earth clamp
as close to the welding point as possible to a cleaned
spot on the workpiece. The arc lights up with a light
stroke with electrode tip against the workpiece. Lift up the
electrode a few mm so that you get the appropriate arc
lengt. See that the earth clamp has good contact with
workpiece. Hold the electrode for approx. 60 ° angle to
the workpiece. Guide the electrode up and down towards
the melt, and with small movement back and forth for the correct width of the
melt and along the joint. The joint, welding position, electrode used and welding
current also affect the process. Use only good quality dry electrodes. With this
you can achieve good welding results.
The value of the welding current is adjusted according to job, material and
position. As a rule of thumb, the basic adjustment is 40A / millimeter of electrode
diameter. Set the welding current on the button on the front panel. Approximate
values in the next table.

In the machine there are 3 functions, which ease your welding work
automatically. The HOT START function provides a current impulse at the
beginning of the welding to facilitate the ignition of the electrode.
The ARC-FORCE systems control the arc during welding and the ANTI-
STICKING function interrupts the welding current if the electrode gets stuck in
the base material.
Rotate the multi-function dial (7) to adjust the arc welding (ARC FORCE) strength
on the scale from 0 to 10. with the smallest setting, the machine will give a
smaller current pulse if it detects a decrease in arc voltage due to the dropout. At
