16DO FLD PN DC 24V 2.0A
The measurements are performed for the module and for pin 1, pin 2 and pin 4 of each
port. The measured values can be displayed in the WAGO I/O Field Webserver or the
WAGO I/O Field app. Alternatively, an OPC UA client can read out the measured values
and display them.
In the module, the measured values are compared to limiting values. An alarm or event is
generated if a value falls above or below a limiting value (e.g., a temperature limiting
value). The module can send this alarm/event
• to the OPC UA client upon: OPC UA: event.
The OPC UA client application can use the measured values, for example to implement
load management. You can find information on load management in
8
.
5.4 Overload protection
The module has built-in overload protection and periodically measures the current, volt-
age and temperature.
If the output current, supply voltage or temperature exceeds the maximum value, the
module switches off a pin/port
5.5 Parameterization Tools
5.5.1 Overview
There are several ways to set the product’s parameters. The following table provides an
overview of the tools.

Tool
Description
Control with PROFINET
IO-Controller
The
PROFINET IO-Controller
must be configured to exchange process data with
the Series 765 modules. The GSDML file
GSDML-Vx.xx-wago-series765-yyyym-
mdd.xml
describes the WAGO I/O System Field module. The PROFINET IO-Con-
troller configuration software imports this GSDML file, and the user can configure
and parameterize one or more Series 765 modules. The user loads the configura-
tion onto the PROFINET controller. The PROFINET controller configures and pa-
rameterizes the Series 765 module via PROFINET.
WAGO I/O Field Web-
server
The
WAGO I/O Field Webserver
is a Webserver that is integrated into the 765
Series module. With a Web browser, users can view the Web pages and display
and modify parameters.
WAGO App I/O Field
The
WAGO I/O Field app
is an app for mobile devices that can communicate with
a 765 Series module via Bluetooth
®
. With the app, the user can parameterize the
765 Series module, read and write process data and display diagnostics.
WAGO IO-Link Configura-
tor
WAGO IO-Link Configurator
is software for configuring the WAGO IO-Link mas-
ters and the IO-Link devices.
A distinction is made between two parts of the configuration and parameterization:
1.
PROFINET configuration
: PROFINET modules and submodules
2.
Port configuration
: digital input or output
The following table shows which tool can influence which section.
