OPERATION
Below, operation with manual guns is described. For automatic guns, the same workflow
applies correspondingly.
8.1
TRAINING THE OPERATING PERSONNEL
The operating personnel must be qualified to operate the entire system.
The operating staff must be familiar with the potential risks associated with improper
behavior as well as the necessary protective devices and measures.
Before work commences, the operating personnel must receive appropriate system
training.
8.2
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The operating documents for the pneumatic pumps and other system components should
be read through carefully. The appropriate operating manuals are available on the WAGNER CD
as PDF files.
Also observe the operating manuals for the components mounted on site.
Automatic electrostatic system
The automatic electrostatic system fitted for the GM 5000 electrostatic gun may only be
released in spraying mode. Always follow the instructions in the operating manual.
WARNING
Gas mixtures can explode if there is an incompletely filled device!
Danger to life from flying parts.
Ensure that the device is always completely filled with flushing agent or working media.
Do not spray the device empty after cleaning.
8.2.1 GENERAL RULES FOR MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO THE SPRAY GUN
WARNING
High-pressure spray jet!
Danger to life from injecting paint or solvent.
Never reach into the spray jet.
Never point the spray gun at people.
Consult a doctor immediately in the event of skin injuries caused by paint or solvent.
Inform the doctor about the paint or solvent used.
Never seal defective high-pressure parts, instead relieve the pressure from them and
replace them immediately.
Wear the appropriate protective clothing, gloves, eyewear, and respirator
