8 Troubleshooting and Service
8.1 System Checklist
Go through this checklist every time you have assembled the simulator to ensure
that your Eyesi Surgical simulator is set up properly.
Please read and follow the instructions in their given order. After each instruction the
resulting simulator response/reaction is described. Check for each response and tick
off the check box in the right column.
Info Disconnect BIOM
This checklist applies to the Eyesi Surgical simulator platform 2.9 without addi-
tional BIOM mimic. If you are using a BIOM with your Eyesi simulator, ensure
the BIOM is not connected to the simulator prior to completing this checklist.
Instruction Response/Reaction OK
1 Assembly
1.1 Ensure the power supply volt-
age matches the voltage setting
of the simulator (

section 4.10 on
page 30).
The voltage setting matches the
power supply voltage of your coun-
try.
Do not proceed if not „ok“!

1.2 Fully assemble the simulator. The simulator is assembled as de-
scribed in the operating guide.

1.3 Make sure the simulator PC is
secured. The two pins at the back of the
slides of the operating table holding
the simulator PC are snapped up.

1.4 Verify all four leveling feet
below the angled support feet and
the base of the lifting column touch
the floor. The simulator is standing stable and
does not wobble.
Do not proceed
if not „ok“!

1.5 Check all cable connections
from and to the simulator PC. All necessary cables are plugged in
and secured, if applicable.

2 Connecting the surgical interface head
2.1 Connect a surgical interface
head (cataract or vitreoretinal). The surgery interface is installed as
described in the Operating Guide.

