Dismounting the microscope eyepieces

1.

Turn the knurled bayonet lock ring counterclockwise while firmly holding the
eyepieces with your other hand.

2.

Take the eyepieces out of the microscope socket.

3.

Put the sealing caps on the eyepieces and the microscope socket.

6.1.4 Stereo Microscope

Dismounting the stereo microscope:

1.

Unplug all cables coming out of the lower end of the microscope arm from
their connectors on the back of the simulator PC. Make sure to unlock the lock-
ing mechanisms of the VRx plug and the DisplayPort plug (

2.

Using a 5 mm hexagon key, unscrew the security screw that fastens the mi-
croscope arm to the simulator PC.

3.

Remove the microscope arm from the simulator PC by holding it in position
and pulling it slowly and steadily up until it disengages from the mounting
receptacle.

6.1.5 Touch Screen

Dismounting the touch screen:

1.

Loosen the screws of the DVI connector.

2.

Unplug all plugs from their ports on the touch screen.

3.

Holding the touch screen on both sides, lift it upwards until it comes off the
monitor arm.

6.1.6 Monitor Arm

NOTICE

Possible damage to monitor arm receptacle

The four screws underneath the mounting receptacle of the monitor arm can-
not be fully unscrewed. This secures the mounting receptacle against full dis-
assembly so that the monitor arm cannot fall down. Trying to fully unscrew the
four screws underneath the mounting receptacle will damage the receptacle.

Only slightly loosen the screws (approx. one full revolution). This should be
sufficient to pull out the monitor arm.
