Preference Page
1. TV TYPE
The GIG-MASTER supports different video outputs including MULTI (Auto), NTSC, and PAL systems. If your
TV exclusively supports NTSC or PAL and you inadvertently select the wrong type, the TV screen will flicker
and be black-and-white. If unsure about your TV’s type, refer to the TV’s instruction manual.
2. PBC
Here you can turn PBC (playback control) ON or OFF. PBC is controlled from the PBC button on the remote.
3. AUDIO
Here you can set your preferred audio language as the default when playing DVDs. NOTE: This only works for
languages that are available on the actual DVD.
4. SUBTITLE
Here you can set your preferred subtitle language as the default when playing DVDs. NOTE: This only works
for subtitle languages that are available on the actual DVD.
5. DISC MENU
Here you can set your preferred menu language as the default when playing DVDs. NOTE: This only works
for menu languages that are available on the actual DVD.
6. PARENTAL
The parental control function works in conjunction with the different censorship classes assigned to DVDs.
These classes help to control the types of DVDs that the family watches. There are up to 8 censorship
classes for DVDs.
7. DEFAULT
Resets all of the GIG-MASTER’s settings to the original manufacturer’s settings. NOTE: Use this only when
completely necessary as you will lose all of your personal settings.

1. PASSWORD MODE
Her you can turn the password mode ON or OFF. Password Mode is used to protect the Parental Control
settings from being changed without supervision or permission.
2. PASSWORD
Here you can change the password from the original manufacturer’s setting to your own password.
